NY Society for Ethical Culture
Join guest speaker, Steven Hoffen on Sunday, June 4th at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. These gatherings educate, stimulate personal growth, inspire reflection and action, and strengthen the community. Sunday will begin with music, followed by greetings and a talk given by Steven Hoffen. Platforms cover a variety of topics that reflect current events, pressing social issues, and Humanist philosophy. Each Sunday meeting is followed by a luncheon and social hour.

XX Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival
This international meeting, already a classic in Punta del Este, has some peculiarities that distinguish it from other Jewish Film Festivals in the world because it takes place in such a special seaside resort as Punta del Este, a meeting point where communities from different countries gather annually in Uruguay.
The Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine Judío de Uruguay, FICJU®) was born in 2003, with the purpose of generating a cultural, educational, didactic and illustrative space, oriented to promote the knowledge of the history of the Jewish people and its diverse cultures and traditions, thus seeking to strengthen our identity and integration through art.
Filmmaker, Steven Hoffen, of the film Growing Peace in the Middle East has been officially selected for Short Films.
Screening @ Miami Short Film Festival
Every year, the MIAMI short FILM FESTIVAL represents the best short form films from around the globe, showcasing up-and-coming directors, producers, and actors. Based in Miami, Florida the festival features short films of 20-minutes or less, and nurtures a growing movement to exhibit and expand the art form of short film making by providing a venue to build community around the arts.
Lonely Seal Festival
Hosted at The Regent Theatre, a 106-year-old classic cinema house in Arlington (Boston), MA, with showcase screenings on Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, Florida, The Lonely Seal International Film, Screenplay and Music Festival showcases “stories aching to be told”.
The festival puts a special focus is put on female filmmakers, as well as the LBGTQIA, minority, indigenous and disabled filmmakers. The festival prizes include showcases for worldwide buyers at Cannes, cutting-edge websites, prominent placement on a new crowdfunding platform, final draft software, strategic advice, and other career-enhancing gems.
Steven Hoffen’s short documentary, Growing Peace in the Middle East will be screened at The Lonely Seal Festival during October 5-10, 2022.
Ridgefield Independent Film Festival
The Ridgefield Independent Film Festival (RIFF) seeks to make the world a more compassionate place through the sharing of stories through cinema. RIFF celebrates independent films from around the world that enlighten, entertain, and inspire moviegoers through compelling visual storytelling, by bringing films, filmmakers and film enthusiasts to the culturally vibrant community of Ridgefield, Connecticut for an annual festival that includes screenings, panel discussions, special events, and parties.
This year RIFF is adding a BEST OF RIFF SHORTS festival to be held August 21st at The Ridgefield Playhouse. The Best of RIFF Shorts program will cull from past and present RIFF shorts to put together a 90 minute program followed by a panel discussion.
Steven’s film has been selected as a finalist in the Ridgefield International Film Festival.

Screening @ The People's Film Festival
Steven Hoffen’s film will be screened at the 11th annual The People’s Film Festival in Harlem, New York on June 2-4. Hoffen’s film, “Growing Peace In The Middle East’ will be competing for Best Documentary Short.
The People's Film Festival celebrates the Voice of the People - showcasing films from across the globe. Over the last 10 years TPFF has become to be known as the “The Voice of ‘The People”—essentially the place to tell your story your way and have a true impact on that audience. TPFF’s mission is to inspire future creatives and innovators, while exposing audiences of all ages to new tools in technology for storytelling. Many of the filmmakers who screened at TPFF have broaden the outreach for their films to screen at other festivals and venues including, HBO, NetFlix, FOST, PBS- Public Broadcasting Service, Revolt TV and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archives.
The People’s Film Festival is an initiative of The People’s Media, Music & Arts Foundation (TPMMAF)—which is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose purpose is to promote awareness in independent film, technology, media, music, and art across the globe while encouraging those—particularly in the Harlem New York area, to develop a greater appreciation and understanding for cultural diversity in media.

Riverside Short Film Festival
Steven Hoffen’s film will be screening at the Riverside Short Film Festival on April 2, 2022.
The Riverside Short Film Festival furthers the art and craft of film-making by supporting, promoting, and recognizing the art of short film and its artists. Phoenix Film Festival
Steven’s film, ‘Growing Peace In The Middle East’ will be screening at The Phoenix Film Festival from March 31 through April 10.
About The Festival
The Phoenix Film Festival started in 2000 by 3 local filmmakers as a way to get their films some exposure in their home town. Twenty-one years and thousands of movies later, the Phoenix Film Foundation has grown from a 3-day exhibition to an 11 day celebration of film with over 300 films, filmmaking seminars, parties and student workshops for over 27,000 attendees all at the Harkins Scottsdale 101.
The Phoenix Film Festival has been named one of The 25 Coolest Film Festivals and a Top 50 Worth the Entry Fee by MovieMaker Magazine and has been called the most filmmaker-friendly festival out there.

WSXA Barcelona International Awards is a FilmFreeway Gold festival with 6 years running and a partner award event of ARFF International.
New Filmmakers New York Screening of 'Growing Peace In The Middle East'

For Filmmakers by Filmmakers | The NewFilmmakers Series began in 1998 and over the past twenty-one years has screened over 1000 feature and 4,000 short films. In 2000 we brought the Havana Film Festival to New York and in 2002 we started NewFilmmakers Los Angeles. Our YoungFilmmakers & AltFest Series screen monthly. Many well-known shorts and features including Blair Witch and Too Much Sleep have had their initial screenings at NewFilmmakers.

Cleveland International Kids Film Festival | Growing Peace In The Middle East will be virtually showcased in the 2022 Program, scheduled for February 25-27. Steven Hoffen’s film is in consideration for the top prize of Best Picture!
Due to the unprecedented pandemic, the festival, unfortunately, will only be virtual this year. Viewers will have a chance to watch the films on www.clevelandkidsfilmfest.com on the dates of the fest.

IHRAF YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL
The International Human Rights Art Festival traveled to Bethel, ME to present its first Youth Film Festival at the Gem Theater. Following the IHRAF Youth Film Festival, there was a Q&A with some of the young film makers, including Steven Hoffen to discuss the inspiration behind his documentary Growing Peace in the Middle East.
