Growing Peace in Queens, New York

Growing Peace Inc. proudly celebrates the successful installation of a hydroponics system at Queensboro Correctional Facility, marking a significant step forward in sustainable food production and community empowerment. These innovative towers will generate over 1,000 pounds of fresh, nutritious produce each year, directly benefiting 200 inmates and staff members by providing locally grown, high-quality fruits and vegetables.

This project embodies more than just the cultivation of food—it represents a commitment to nurturing hope and creating a self-sustaining ecosystem within the facility. By integrating hydroponics, we're not only addressing food security but also promoting education and environmental stewardship. Through hands-on involvement, inmates gain valuable skills in sustainable agriculture, fostering personal growth and a sense of purpose. Together, we’re sowing the seeds of transformation, cultivating a future where sustainability, community well-being, and second chances thrive.

New Installation

Through additional fundraising efforts, Growing Peace can extend humanitarian efforts to bring hydroponics to schools, more food pantries, and other organizations that help those in need.
